Genesis 44:18 – 47:27

45:19
Now you are instructed to do the following: Take wagons from Egypt for your small children and wives, and also use them for your father. Come
Ve’atah tsuveytah zot asu kchu-lachem me’erets Mitsrayim agalot letapchem velinsheychem unsatem et-avichem uvatem.
וְאַתָּה צֻוֵּיתָה, זֹאת עֲשׂוּ: קְחוּ-לָכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם עֲגָלוֹת, לְטַפְּכֶם וְלִנְשֵׁיכֶם, וּנְשָׂאתֶם אֶת-אֲבִיכֶם, וּבָאתֶם.
 

45:20
and do not be concerned with your belongings, for the best of Egypt will be yours.’
Ve’eynechem al-tachos al-kleychem ki-tuv kol-erets Mitsrayim lachem hu.
וְעֵינְכֶם, אַל-תָּחֹס עַל-כְּלֵיכֶם: כִּי-טוּב כָּל-אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם, לָכֶם הוּא.
 

45:21
Israel’s sons agreed to do this. Joseph gave them wagons according to Pharaoh’s instructions, and he also provided them with food for the journey.
Vaya’asu-chen beney Yisra’el vayiten lahem Yosef agalot al-pi Far’oh vayiten lahem tsedah ladarech.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ-כֵן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם יוֹסֵף עֲגָלוֹת עַל-פִּי פַרְעֹה; וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם צֵדָה, לַדָּרֶךְ.
 

45:22
He gave each of [his brothers] an outfit of clothes. To Benjamin, however, he gave 300 pieces of silver and five outfits.
Lechulam natan la’ish chalifot smalot ule-Vinyamin natan shlosh me’ot kesef vechamesh chalifot smalot.
לְכֻלָּם נָתַן לָאִישׁ, חֲלִפוֹת שְׂמָלֹת; וּלְבִנְיָמִן נָתַן שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת כֶּסֶף, וְחָמֵשׁ חֲלִפֹת שְׂמָלֹת.
 

45:23
[Joseph] sent the following to his father: Ten male donkeys, loaded with Egypt’s finest products, as well as ten female donkeys, loaded with grain, bread, and food for his father’s journey.
Ule’aviv shalach kezot asarah chamorim nos’im mituv Mitsrayim ve’eser atonot nos’ot bar valechem umazon le’aviv ladarech.
וּלְאָבִיו שָׁלַח כְּזֹאת, עֲשָׂרָה חֲמֹרִים, נֹשְׂאִים, מִטּוּב מִצְרָיִם; וְעֶשֶׂר אֲתֹנֹת נֹשְׂאֹת בָּר וָלֶחֶם וּמָזוֹן, לְאָבִיו–לַדָּרֶךְ.
 

45:24
He sent his brothers on their way. As they were leaving, he said to them, ‘Have a pleasant journey!’
Vayeshalach et-echav vayelechu vayomer alehem al-tirgezu badarech.
וַיְשַׁלַּח אֶת-אֶחָיו, וַיֵּלֵכוּ; וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם, אַל-תִּרְגְּזוּ בַּדָּרֶךְ.
 

45:25
[The brothers] headed north from Egypt, and they came to their father Jacob in Canaan.
Vaya’alu mi-Mitsrayim vayavo’u erets Kena’an el-Ya’akov avihem.
וַיַּעֲלוּ, מִמִּצְרָיִם; וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן, אֶל-יַעֲקֹב אֲבִיהֶם.
 

45:26
They broke the news to him: ‘Joseph is still alive. He is the ruler of all Egypt.’
Vayagidu lo lemor od Yosef chay vechi-hu moshel bechol-erets Mitsrayim vayafag libo ki lo-he’emin lahem.
וַיַּגִּדוּ לוֹ לֵאמֹר, עוֹד יוֹסֵף חַי, וְכִי-הוּא מֹשֵׁל, בְּכָל-אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם; וַיָּפָג לִבּוֹ, כִּי לֹא-הֶאֱמִין לָהֶם.
 

45:27
[Jacob’s] heart became numb, for he could not believe them.
Vayedabru elav et kol-divrey Yosef asher diber alehem vayar et-ha’agalot asher-shalach Yosef laset oto vatechi ruach Ya’akov avihem.
וַיְדַבְּרוּ אֵלָיו, אֵת כָּל-דִּבְרֵי יוֹסֵף אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר אֲלֵהֶם, וַיַּרְא אֶת-הָעֲגָלוֹת, אֲשֶׁר-שָׁלַח יוֹסֵף לָשֵׂאת אֹתוֹ; וַתְּחִי, רוּחַ יַעֲקֹב אֲבִיהֶם.
