Fourth Aliyah



3:1
If one’s sacrifice is a peace offering and it is from the cattle, he may offer either an unblemished male or an unblemished female before God.
Ve’im-zevach shlamim korbano im min-habakar hu makriv im-zachar im-nekevah tamim yakrivenu lifney Adonay.
וְאִם-זֶבַח שְׁלָמִים, קָרְבָּנוֹ–אִם מִן-הַבָּקָר, הוּא מַקְרִיב, אִם-זָכָר אִם-נְקֵבָה, תָּמִים יַקְרִיבֶנּוּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה.

3:2
He shall press his hands on the head of the sacrifice, and have it slaughtered at the entrance of the Communion Tent. The priests who are Aaron’s descendants shall dash its blood on all sides of the altar.
Vesamach yado al-rosh korbano ushchato petach Ohel Mo’ed vezarku beney Aharon hakohanim et-hadam al-hamizbe’ach saviv.
וְסָמַךְ יָדוֹ, עַל-רֹאשׁ קָרְבָּנוֹ, וּשְׁחָטוֹ, פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד; וְזָרְקוּ בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֲנִים אֶת-הַדָּם, עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ–סָבִיב.

3:3
The portion of the peace offerings that must be presented as a fire offering to God must include the layer of fat covering the stomachs and all the other fat attached to the stomachs.
Vehikriv mizevach hashlamim isheh l’Adonay et-hachelev hamechaseh et-hakerev ve’et kol-hachelev asher al-hakerev.
וְהִקְרִיב מִזֶּבַח הַשְּׁלָמִים, אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה–אֶת-הַחֵלֶב, הַמְכַסֶּה אֶת-הַקֶּרֶב, וְאֵת כָּל-הַחֵלֶב, אֲשֶׁר עַל-הַקֶּרֶב.

3:4
The two kidneys along with the fat on them along the flanks, and the lobe over the liver near the kidneys must [also] be removed.
Ve’et shtey haklayot ve’et-hachelev asher alehen asher al-haksalim ve’et-hayoteret al-hakaved al-haklayot yesirenah.
וְאֵת, שְׁתֵּי הַכְּלָיֹת, וְאֶת-הַחֵלֶב אֲשֶׁר עֲלֵהֶן, אֲשֶׁר עַל-הַכְּסָלִים; וְאֶת-הַיֹּתֶרֶת, עַל-הַכָּבֵד, עַל-הַכְּלָיוֹת, יְסִירֶנָּה.

3:5
Aaron’s descendants shall burn this on the altar, along with the burnt offering which is on the wood on the fire. It is a fire offering, an appeasing fragrance to God.
Vehiktiru oto veney-Aharon hamizbechah al-ha’olah asher al-ha’etsim asher al-ha’esh isheh re’ach nicho’ach l’Adonay.
וְהִקְטִירוּ אֹתוֹ בְנֵי-אַהֲרֹן, הַמִּזְבֵּחָה, עַל-הָעֹלָה, אֲשֶׁר עַל-הָעֵצִים אֲשֶׁר עַל-הָאֵשׁ–אִשֵּׁה רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ, לַיהוָה.

3:6
If one’s sacrifice for a peace offering to God is taken from the smaller animals, he may [also] present an unblemished male or female animal.
Ve’im-min-hatson korbano lezevach shlamim l’Adonay zachar o nekevah tamim yakrivenu.
וְאִם-מִן-הַצֹּאן קָרְבָּנוֹ לְזֶבַח שְׁלָמִים, לַיהוָה–זָכָר אוֹ נְקֵבָה, תָּמִים יַקְרִיבֶנּוּ.

3:7
If he brings a sheep as his sacrifice, he shall present it before God.
Im-kesev hu-makriv et-korbano vehikriv oto lifney Adonay.
אִם-כֶּשֶׂב הוּא-מַקְרִיב, אֶת-קָרְבָּנוֹ–וְהִקְרִיב אֹתוֹ, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה.

3:8
He shall press his hands on the head of the sacrifice and have it slaughtered in front of the Communion Tent. Aaron’s descendants shall then dash its blood on all sides of the altar.
Vesamach et-yado al-rosh korbano veshachat oto lifney Ohel Mo’ed vezarku beney Aharon et-damo al-hamizbe’ach saviv.
וְסָמַךְ אֶת-יָדוֹ, עַל-רֹאשׁ קָרְבָּנוֹ, וְשָׁחַט אֹתוֹ, לִפְנֵי אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד; וְזָרְקוּ בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן אֶת-דָּמוֹ, עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ–סָבִיב.

3:9
He shall present the choicest parts of his peace offering as a fire offering to God, removing the broad tail up to the backbone, along with the layer of fat covering the stomachs and all the other fat attached to the stomachs.
Vehikriv mizevach hashlamim isheh l’Adonay chelbo ha’alyah tmimah le’umat he’atseh yesirenah ve’et-hachelev hamechaseh et-hakerev ve’et kol-hachelev asher al-hakerev.
וְהִקְרִיב מִזֶּבַח הַשְּׁלָמִים, אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה–חֶלְבּוֹ הָאַלְיָה תְמִימָה, לְעֻמַּת הֶעָצֶה יְסִירֶנָּה; וְאֶת-הַחֵלֶב, הַמְכַסֶּה אֶת-הַקֶּרֶב, וְאֵת כָּל-הַחֵלֶב, אֲשֶׁר עַל-הַקֶּרֶב.

3:10

3:11
The priest shall burn them on the altar, to be consumed as a fire offering to God.
Vehiktiro hakohen hamizbechah lechem isheh l’Adonay.
וְהִקְטִירוֹ הַכֹּהֵן, הַמִּזְבֵּחָה–לֶחֶם אִשֶּׁה, לַיהוָה.

3:12
If his sacrifice is a goat, he shall present it before God.
Ve’im-ez korbano vehikrivo lifney Adonay.
וְאִם עֵז, קָרְבָּנוֹ–וְהִקְרִיבוֹ, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה.

3:13
He shall press his hands on its head, and have it slaughtered before the Communion Tent. Aaron’s descendants shall then dash its blood on all sides of the altar.
Vesamach et-yado al-rosho veshachat oto lifney Ohel Mo’ed vezarku beney Aharon et-damo al-hamizbe’ach saviv.
וְסָמַךְ אֶת-יָדוֹ, עַל-רֹאשׁוֹ, וְשָׁחַט אֹתוֹ, לִפְנֵי אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד; וְזָרְקוּ בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן אֶת-דָּמוֹ, עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ–סָבִיב.

3:14
As his fire offering sacrifice to God, he shall present the layer of fat that covers the stomachs, and all the other fat attached to the stomachs.
Vehikriv mimenu korbano isheh l’Adonay et-hachelev hamechaseh et-hakerev ve’et kol-hachelev asher al-hakerev.
וְהִקְרִיב מִמֶּנּוּ קָרְבָּנוֹ, אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה–אֶת-הַחֵלֶב, הַמְכַסֶּה אֶת-הַקֶּרֶב, וְאֵת כָּל-הַחֵלֶב, אֲשֶׁר עַל-הַקֶּרֶב.

3:15
The two kidneys along with the fat on them along the flanks, and the lobe over the liver near the kidneys, shall also be removed.
Ve’et shtey haklayot ve’et-hachelev asher alehen asher al-haksalim ve’et-hayoteret al-hakaved al-haklayot yesirenah.
וְאֵת, שְׁתֵּי הַכְּלָיֹת, וְאֶת-הַחֵלֶב אֲשֶׁר עֲלֵהֶן, אֲשֶׁר עַל-הַכְּסָלִים; וְאֶת-הַיֹּתֶרֶת, עַל-הַכָּבֵד, עַל-הַכְּלָיֹת, יְסִירֶנָּה.

3:16
The priests shall burn them on the altar, to be consumed as a fire offering, an appeasing fragrance. All the prescribed internal fat thus belongs to God.
Vehiktiram hakohen hamizbechah lechem isheh lere’ach nichoach kol-chelev l’Adonay.
וְהִקְטִירָם הַכֹּהֵן, הַמִּזְבֵּחָה–לֶחֶם אִשֶּׁה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ, כָּל-חֵלֶב לַיהוָה.

3:17
It shall be an eternal law, for all your generations, that you are not to eat any internal fat [that is normally sacrificed] nor any blood, no matter where you may live.
Chukat olam ledoroteychem bechol moshvoteychem kol-chelev vechol-dam lo tochelu.
חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם, בְּכֹל מוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם–כָּל-חֵלֶב וְכָל-דָּם, לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ.
