24:15
As soon as Moses reached the mountain top, the cloud covered the mountain.
Vaya’al Moshe el-hahar vayechas he’anan et-hahar.
וַיַּעַל מֹשֶׁה, אֶל-הָהָר; וַיְכַס הֶעָנָן, אֶת-הָהָר.

24:16
God’s glory rested on Mount Sinai, and it was covered by the cloud for six days. On the seventh day, He called to Moses from the midst of the cloud.
Vayishkon kvod-Adonay al-har Sinay vayechasehu he’anan sheshet yamim vayikra el-Moshe bayom hashvi’i mitoch he’anan.
וַיִּשְׁכֹּן כְּבוֹד-יְהוָה עַל-הַר סִינַי, וַיְכַסֵּהוּ הֶעָנָן שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים; וַיִּקְרָא אֶל-מֹשֶׁה בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי, מִתּוֹךְ הֶעָנָן.

24:17
To the Israelites, the appearance of God’s glory on the mountain top was like a devouring flame.
Umar’eh kvod Adonay ke’esh ochelet berosh hahar le’eyney beney Yisra’el.
וּמַרְאֵה כְּבוֹד יְהוָה, כְּאֵשׁ אֹכֶלֶת בְּרֹאשׁ הָהָר, לְעֵינֵי, בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.

24:18
Moses went into the cloud, and climbed to the mountain top. Moses was to remain on the mountain for forty days and forty nights.
Vayavo Moshe betoch he’anan vaya’al el-hahar vayehi Moshe bahar arba’im yom ve’arba’im laylah.
וַיָּבֹא מֹשֶׁה בְּתוֹךְ הֶעָנָן, וַיַּעַל אֶל-הָהָר; וַיְהִי מֹשֶׁה, בָּהָר, אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם, וְאַרְבָּעִים לָיְלָה.
