27:20
You, [Moses], must command the Israelites to bring you clear illuminating oil, made from hand crushed olives, to keep the lamp constantly burning.
Ve’atah tetsaveh et-beney Yisra’el veyikchu eleycha shemen zayit zach katit lama’or leha’alot ner tamid.
וְאַתָּה תְּצַוֶּה אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְיִקְחוּ אֵלֶיךָ שֶׁמֶן זַיִת זָךְ כָּתִית–לַמָּאוֹר: לְהַעֲלֹת נֵר, תָּמִיד.
 

27:21
Aaron and his sons shall arrange for [the lamps to burn] from evening until morning in God’s presence, in the Communion Tent, outside the cloth partition that conceals the [Ark of] Testimony. It is a rule for all time that [this oil shall come] from the Israelites.
Be’Ohel Mo’ed michuts laparochet asher al-ha’edut ya’aroch oto Aharon uvanav me’erev ad-boker lifney Adonay chukat olam ledorotam me’et beney Yisra’el.
בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד מִחוּץ לַפָּרֹכֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל-הָעֵדֻת, יַעֲרֹךְ אֹתוֹ אַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו מֵעֶרֶב עַד-בֹּקֶר–לִפְנֵי יְהוָה: חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתָם, מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
 

28:1
[Separate] your brother Aaron and his sons from among the Israelites, [and] bring them close to you so that Aaron, and his sons, Nadav, Avihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, can become priests to Me.
Ve’atah hakrev eleycha et-Aharon achicha ve’et-banav ito mitoch beney Yisra’el lechahano-li Aharon Nadav va’Avihu El’azar ve’Itamar beney Aharon.
וְאַתָּה הַקְרֵב אֵלֶיךָ אֶת-אַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ וְאֶת-בָּנָיו אִתּוֹ, מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל–לְכַהֲנוֹ-לִי: אַהֲרֹן–נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר, בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן.
 

28:2
Make sacred vestments that are both dignified and beautiful for your brother Aaron.
Ve’asita vigdey-kodesh le-Aharon achicha lechavod uletif’aret.
וְעָשִׂיתָ בִגְדֵי-קֹדֶשׁ, לְאַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ, לְכָבוֹד, וּלְתִפְאָרֶת.
 

28:3
Speak to everyone who is naturally talented, to whom I have granted a spirit of wisdom, and let them make Aaron’s vestments. These [vestments] will then be used to consecrate him and make him a priest to Me.
Ve’atah tedaber el-kol-chachmey-lev asher miletiv ruach chochmah ve’asu et-bigdey Aharon lekadesho lechahano-li.
וְאַתָּה, תְּדַבֵּר אֶל-כָּל-חַכְמֵי-לֵב, אֲשֶׁר מִלֵּאתִיו, רוּחַ חָכְמָה; וְעָשׂוּ אֶת-בִּגְדֵי אַהֲרֹן, לְקַדְּשׁוֹ–לְכַהֲנוֹ-לִי.
 

28:4
These are the vestments that they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a knitted tunic, a turban, and a sash. Make them as sacred vestments for Aaron and his sons so that they will be able to be priests to Me.
Ve’eleh habegadim asher ya’asu choshen ve’efod ume’il uchtonet tashbets mitsnefet ve’avnet ve’asu vigdey-kodesh le-Aharon achicha ulevanav lechahano-li.
וְאֵלֶּה הַבְּגָדִים אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשׂוּ, חֹשֶׁן וְאֵפוֹד וּמְעִיל, וּכְתֹנֶת תַּשְׁבֵּץ, מִצְנֶפֶת וְאַבְנֵט; וְעָשׂוּ בִגְדֵי-קֹדֶשׁ לְאַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ, וּלְבָנָיו–לְכַהֲנוֹ-לִי.
 

28:5
[The skilled workers] shall take the gold, the sky-blue, dark red and crimsons wool, and the linen.
Vehem yikchu et-hazahav ve’et-hatchelet ve’et-ha’argaman ve’et-tola’at hashani ve’et-hashesh.
וְהֵם יִקְחוּ אֶת-הַזָּהָב, וְאֶת-הַתְּכֵלֶת וְאֶת-הָאַרְגָּמָן, וְאֶת-תּוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי, וְאֶת-הַשֵּׁשׁ.
 

28:6
[These workers] shall make the ephod out of gold [thread], sky-blue, dark red and crimson wool, together with twined linen, in a patterned brocade.
Ve’asu et-ha’efod zahav techelet ve’argaman tola’at shani veshesh moshezar ma’aseh choshev.
וְעָשׂוּ, אֶת-הָאֵפֹד: זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן תּוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי, וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר–מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב.
 

28:7
It shall have two attached shoulder pieces at its two corners, and [these] shall be sewn [to it].
Shtey chtefot choverot yihyeh-lo el-shney ketsotav vechubar.
שְׁתֵּי כְתֵפֹת חֹבְרֹת, יִהְיֶה-לּוֹ אֶל-שְׁנֵי קְצוֹתָיו–וְחֻבָּר.
 

28:8
The ephod’s belt which is made in the same manner [as the ephod itself] shall be [woven] together with it out of gold [thread], sky-blue, dark red, and crimson wool, and twined linen.
Vecheshev afudato asher alav kema’asehu mimenu yihyeh zahav techelet ve’argaman vetola’at shani veshesh moshezar.
וְחֵשֶׁב אֲפֻדָּתוֹ אֲשֶׁר עָלָיו, כְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ מִמֶּנּוּ יִהְיֶה: זָהָב, תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי–וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר.
 

28:9
Take two sardonyx stones, and engrave on them the names of Israel’s sons.
Velakachta et-shtey avney-shoham ufitachta aleyhem shmot beney Yisra’el.
וְלָקַחְתָּ, אֶת-שְׁתֵּי אַבְנֵי-שֹׁהַם; וּפִתַּחְתָּ עֲלֵיהֶם, שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
 

28:10
There shall be six names on one stone, and the remaining six names on the second stone [inscribed] in the order of their birth.
Shishah mishmotam al ha’even ha’echat ve’et-shemot hashishah hanotarim al-ha’even hashenit ketoldotam.
שִׁשָּׁה, מִשְּׁמֹתָם, עַל, הָאֶבֶן הָאֶחָת; וְאֶת-שְׁמוֹת הַשִּׁשָּׁה הַנּוֹתָרִים, עַל-הָאֶבֶן הַשֵּׁנִית–כְּתוֹלְדֹתָם.
 

28:11
The names of Israel’s sons shall be engraved by a skilled jeweler, [and it shall appear] like the engraving on a signet ring. [These stones] shall then be placed in gold settings.
Ma’aseh charash even pituchey chotam tefatach et-shtey ha’avanim al-shmot beney Yisra’el musabot mishbetsot zahav ta’aseh otam.
מַעֲשֵׂה חָרַשׁ, אֶבֶן–פִּתּוּחֵי חֹתָם תְּפַתַּח אֶת-שְׁתֵּי הָאֲבָנִים, עַל-שְׁמֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל; מֻסַבֹּת מִשְׁבְּצוֹת זָהָב, תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם.
 

28:12
Place the two stones on the two shoulder pieces of the ephod as remembrance stones for Israel’s sons.
Vesamta et-shtey ha’avanim al kitfot ha’efod avney zikaron livney Yisra’el venasa Aharon et-shmotam lifney Adonay al-shtey chtefav lezikaron.
וְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת-שְׁתֵּי הָאֲבָנִים, עַל כִּתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד, אַבְנֵי זִכָּרֹן, לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל; וְנָשָׂא אַהֲרֹן אֶת-שְׁמוֹתָם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה, עַל-שְׁתֵּי כְתֵפָיו–לְזִכָּרֹן.
