10:24
Pharaoh summoned Moses. ‘Go!’ he said. ‘Worship God! Even your children can go with you. Just leave your sheep and cattle behind.’
Vayikra Far’oh el-Moshe vayomer lechu ivdu et-Adonay rak tsonchem uvekarchem yutsag gam-tapchem yelech imachem.
וַיִּקְרָא פַרְעֹה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה, וַיֹּאמֶר לְכוּ עִבְדוּ אֶת-יְהוָה–רַק צֹאנְכֶם וּבְקַרְכֶם, יֻצָּג: גַּם-טַפְּכֶם, יֵלֵךְ עִמָּכֶם.
 

10:25
‘Will you then provide us with sacrifices and burnt offerings so that we will be able to offer them to God our Lord?’ replied Moses.
Vayomer Moshe gam-atah titen beyadenu zvachim ve’olot ve’asinu l’Adonay Eloheynu.
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה, גַּם-אַתָּה תִּתֵּן בְּיָדֵנוּ זְבָחִים וְעֹלֹת; וְעָשִׂינוּ, לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ.
 

10:26
‘Our livestock must also go along with us. Not a single hoof can be left behind. We must take them to serve God our Lord, since we do not know what we will need to worship God until we get there.’
Vegam-miknenu yelech imanu lo tisha’er parsah ki mimenu nikach la’avod et-Adonay Eloheynu va’anachu lo-neda mah-na’avod et-Adonay ad-bo’enu shamah.
וְגַם-מִקְנֵנוּ יֵלֵךְ עִמָּנוּ, לֹא תִשָּׁאֵר פַּרְסָה–כִּי מִמֶּנּוּ נִקַּח, לַעֲבֹד אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ; וַאֲנַחְנוּ לֹא-נֵדַע, מַה-נַּעֲבֹד אֶת-יְהוָה, עַד-בֹּאֵנוּ, שָׁמָּה.
 

10:27
God made Pharaoh obstinate, and he was no longer willing to let [the Israelites] leave.
Vayechazek Adonay et-lev Par’oh velo avah leshalecham.
וַיְחַזֵּק יְהוָה, אֶת-לֵב פַּרְעֹה; וְלֹא אָבָה, לְשַׁלְּחָם.
 

10:28
‘Leave my presence!’ said Pharaoh to [Moses]. ‘Don’t dare see my face again! The day you appear before me, you will die!’
Vayomer-lo Far’oh lech me’alay hishamer lecha al-tosef re’ot panay ki beyom re’otcha fanay tamut.
וַיֹּאמֶר-לוֹ פַרְעֹה, לֵךְ מֵעָלָי; הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ, אַל-תֹּסֶף רְאוֹת פָּנַי–כִּי בְּיוֹם רְאֹתְךָ פָנַי, תָּמוּת.
 

10:29
‘As you say,’ replied Moses. ‘I will not see your face again.’
Vayomer Moshe ken dibarta lo-osif od re’ot paneycha.
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה, כֵּן דִּבַּרְתָּ: לֹא-אֹסִף עוֹד, רְאוֹת פָּנֶיךָ.
 

11:1
God said to Moses, ‘There is one more plague that I will send against Pharaoh and Egypt. After that, he will let you leave this place. When he lets you leave, he will actually drive you out of here.
Vayomer Adonay el-Moshe od nega echad avi al-Par’oh ve’al-Mitsrayim acharey-chen yeshalach etchem mizeh keshalecho kalah garesh yegaresh etchem mizeh.
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה, עוֹד נֶגַע אֶחָד אָבִיא עַל-פַּרְעֹה וְעַל-מִצְרַיִם–אַחֲרֵי-כֵן, יְשַׁלַּח אֶתְכֶם מִזֶּה: כְּשַׁלְּחוֹ–כָּלָה, גָּרֵשׁ יְגָרֵשׁ אֶתְכֶם מִזֶּה.
 

11:2
Now speak to the people discreetly, and let each man request from his friend gold and silver articles. Let every woman make [the same] request of her friends. ‘
Daber-na be’ozney ha’am veyish’alu ish me’et re’ehu ve’ishah me’et re’utah kley-chesef ucheley-zahav.
דַּבֶּר-נָא, בְּאָזְנֵי הָעָם; וְיִשְׁאֲלוּ אִישׁ מֵאֵת רֵעֵהוּ, וְאִשָּׁה מֵאֵת רְעוּתָהּ, כְּלֵי-כֶסֶף, וּכְלֵי זָהָב.
 

11:3
God gave the people status among the Egyptians. Moses was also very highly respected in Egypt, both by Pharaoh’s officials and by the people.
Vayiten Adonay et-chen ha’am be’eyney Mitsrayim gam ha’ish mosheh gadol me’od be’erets Mitsrayim be’eyney avdey-Far’oh uve’eyney ha’am.
וַיִּתֵּן יְהוָה אֶת-חֵן הָעָם, בְּעֵינֵי מִצְרָיִם; גַּם הָאִישׁ מֹשֶׁה, גָּדוֹל מְאֹד בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם, בְּעֵינֵי עַבְדֵי-פַרְעֹה, וּבְעֵינֵי הָעָם.
