38:1
He made the sacrificial altar out of acacia wood, five cubits square, and three cubits high.
Vaya’as et-mizbach ha’olah atsey shitim chamesh amot oreko vechamesh-amot rochebo ravua veshalosh amot komato.
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת-מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה, עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים: חָמֵשׁ אַמּוֹת אָרְכּוֹ וְחָמֵשׁ-אַמּוֹת רָחְבּוֹ, רָבוּעַ, וְשָׁלֹשׁ אַמּוֹת, קֹמָתוֹ.

38:2
He made the protrusions on all four corners as an integral part of [the altar’s] structure, and then covered [the entire structure] with a layer of copper.
Vaya’as karnotav al arba pinotav mimenu hayu karnotav vayetsaf oto nechoshet.
וַיַּעַשׂ קַרְנֹתָיו, עַל אַרְבַּע פִּנֹּתָיו–מִמֶּנּוּ, הָיוּ קַרְנֹתָיו; וַיְצַף אֹתוֹ, נְחֹשֶׁת.

38:3
He made all the altar’s utensils, pots, scoops, sacrificial basins, flesh pokers, and fire pans. They were all made out of copper.
Vaya’as et-kol-keley hamizbe’ach et-hasirot ve’et-haya’im ve’et-hamizrakot et-hamizlagot ve’et-hamachtot kol-kelav asah nechoshet.
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת-כָּל-כְּלֵי הַמִּזְבֵּחַ, אֶת-הַסִּירֹת וְאֶת-הַיָּעִים וְאֶת-הַמִּזְרָקֹת, אֶת-הַמִּזְלָגֹת, וְאֶת-הַמַּחְתֹּת; כָּל-כֵּלָיו, עָשָׂה נְחֹשֶׁת.

38:4
He made a screen out of copper mesh, and placed it below the [altar’s] decorative border, extending downward until the middle of the altar.
Vaya’as lamizbe’ach michbar ma’aseh reshet nechoshet tachat karkubo milematah ad-chetsyo.
וַיַּעַשׂ לַמִּזְבֵּחַ מִכְבָּר, מַעֲשֵׂה רֶשֶׁת נְחֹשֶׁת, תַּחַת כַּרְכֻּבּוֹ מִלְּמַטָּה, עַד-חֶצְיוֹ.

38:5
He cast four rings on the copper screen to hold the carrying poles.
Vayitsok arba taba’ot be’arba haketsavot lemichbar hanechoshet batim labadim.
וַיִּצֹק אַרְבַּע טַבָּעֹת, בְּאַרְבַּע הַקְּצָו‍ֹת–לְמִכְבַּר הַנְּחֹשֶׁת: בָּתִּים, לַבַּדִּים.

38:6
He made acacia carrying poles and covered them with a layer of copper.
Vaya’as et-habadim atsey shitim vayetsaf otam nechoshet.
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת-הַבַּדִּים, עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים; וַיְצַף אֹתָם, נְחֹשֶׁת.

38:7
He placed the carrying poles in the rings on the altar’s corners, so that it could be carried. He constructed [the altar] as a hollow structure made out of boards.
Vayave et-habadim bataba’ot al tsal’ot hamizbe’ach laset oto bahem nevuv luchot asah oto.
וַיָּבֵא אֶת-הַבַּדִּים בַּטַּבָּעֹת, עַל צַלְעֹת הַמִּזְבֵּחַ, לָשֵׂאת אֹתוֹ, בָּהֶם; נְבוּב לֻחֹת, עָשָׂה אֹתוֹ.

38:8
The cherubs were made on both ends from the same piece of metal as the cover itself, one cherub on one end, and one on the other.
Kruv echad mikatsah mizeh uchruv-echad mikatsah mizeh min-hakaporet asah et-hakruvim mishney ketsotav.
וַיַּעַשׂ, אֵת הַכִּיּוֹר נְחֹשֶׁת, וְאֵת, כַּנּוֹ נְחֹשֶׁת–בְּמַרְאֹת, הַצֹּבְאֹת, אֲשֶׁר צָבְאוּ, פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד.

38:9
He made the enclosure [for the tabernacle]. On the south side, the twined linen hangings were 100 cubits long,
Vaya’as et-hechatser life’at negev teymanah kal’ey hechatser shesh moshezar me’ah ba’amah.
וַיַּעַשׂ, אֶת-הֶחָצֵר: לִפְאַת נֶגֶב תֵּימָנָה, קַלְעֵי הֶחָצֵר שֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר, מֵאָה, בָּאַמָּה.

38:10
held by 20 poles, with 20 copper bases and silver pole hooks and bands.
Amudeyhem esrim ve’adneyhem esrim nechoshet vavey ha’amudim vachashukeyhem kasef.
עַמּוּדֵיהֶם עֶשְׂרִים, וְאַדְנֵיהֶם עֶשְׂרִים נְחֹשֶׁת; וָוֵי הָעַמּוּדִים וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶם, כָּסֶף.

38:11
On the north side, it was also 100 cubits long, held by 20 poles, with 20 copper bases and silver pole hooks and bands.
Velif’at tsafon me’ah va’amah amudeyhem esrim ve’adneyhem esrim nechoshet vavey ha’amudim vachashukeyhem kasef.
וְלִפְאַת צָפוֹן, מֵאָה בָאַמָּה–עַמּוּדֵיהֶם עֶשְׂרִים, וְאַדְנֵיהֶם עֶשְׂרִים נְחֹשֶׁת; וָוֵי הָעַמּוּדִים וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶם, כָּסֶף.

38:12
On the west side, the curtains were 50 cubits, held by 10 poles, with 10 bases and silver pole hooks and bands.
Velif’at-yam kela’im chamishim ba’amah amudeyhem asarah ve’adneyhem asarah vavey ha’amudim vachashukeyhem kasef.
וְלִפְאַת-יָם, קְלָעִים חֲמִשִּׁים בָּאַמָּה–עַמּוּדֵיהֶם עֲשָׂרָה, וְאַדְנֵיהֶם עֲשָׂרָה; וָוֵי הָעַמֻּדִים וַחֲשׁוּקֵיהֶם, כָּסֶף.

38:13
The east side was [also] 50 cubits [wide].
Velif’at kedmah mizrachah chamishim amah.
וְלִפְאַת קֵדְמָה מִזְרָחָה, חֲמִשִּׁים אַמָּה.

38:14
The hangings on one side, [of the enclosure] were 15 cubits long, held by three poles with three bases.
Kla’im chamesh-esreh amah el-hakatef amudeyhem shloshah ve’adneyhem shloshah.
קְלָעִים חֲמֵשׁ-עֶשְׂרֵה אַמָּה, אֶל-הַכָּתֵף; עַמּוּדֵיהֶם שְׁלֹשָׁה, וְאַדְנֵיהֶם שְׁלֹשָׁה.

38:15
The same was true of the other side of the enclosure’s entrance, so that the hangings there were [also] 15 cubits [wide], held by three poles with three bases.
Velakatef hashenit mizeh umizeh lesha’ar hechatser kela’im chamesh esreh amah amudeyhem shloshah ve’adneyhem shloshah.
וְלַכָּתֵף הַשֵּׁנִית, מִזֶּה וּמִזֶּה לְשַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר, קְלָעִים, חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה אַמָּה; עַמֻּדֵיהֶם שְׁלֹשָׁה, וְאַדְנֵיהֶם שְׁלֹשָׁה.

38:16
All the enclosure’s hangings were made of twined linen.
Kol-kal’ey hechatser saviv shesh moshezar.
כָּל-קַלְעֵי הֶחָצֵר סָבִיב, שֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר.

38:17
The bases for the poles were made of copper, while the pole hooks and bands were made of silver. All the enclosure’s poles [also] had silver caps, and the [poles themselves] were ringed with silver.
Veha’adanim la’amudim nechoshet vavey ha’amudim vachashukeyhem kesef vetsipuy rasheyhem kasef vehem mechushakim kesef kol amudey hechatser.
וְהָאֲדָנִים לָעַמֻּדִים, נְחֹשֶׁת, וָוֵי הָעַמּוּדִים וַחֲשׁוּקֵיהֶם כֶּסֶף, וְצִפּוּי רָאשֵׁיהֶם כָּסֶף; וְהֵם מְחֻשָּׁקִים כֶּסֶף, כֹּל עַמֻּדֵי הֶחָצֵר.
