Leviticus 6:1 – 8:36

Seventh Aliyah



8:30
Moses took some of the anointing oil, [together with] some of the blood from the altar, and he sprinkled it on Aaron and his vestments, as well as on [Aaron’s] sons and their vestments. He thus sanctified Aaron and his vestments as well as [Aaron’s] sons and their vestments.
Vayikach Moshe mishemen hamishchah umin-hadam asher al-hamizbe’ach vayaz al-Aharon al-begadav ve’al-banav ve’al-bigdey vanav ito vayekadesh et-Aharon et-begadav ve’et-banav ve’et-bigdey vanav ito.
וַיִּקַּח מֹשֶׁה מִשֶּׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה, וּמִן-הַדָּם אֲשֶׁר עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ, וַיַּז עַל-אַהֲרֹן עַל-בְּגָדָיו, וְעַל-בָּנָיו וְעַל-בִּגְדֵי בָנָיו אִתּוֹ; וַיְקַדֵּשׁ אֶת-אַהֲרֹן אֶת-בְּגָדָיו, וְאֶת-בָּנָיו וְאֶת-בִּגְדֵי בָנָיו אִתּוֹ.

8:31
Moses said to Aaron and his sons, ‘Cook the flesh at the Communion Tent’s entrance. There you shall eat it, along with the bread in the installation basket. Do it, because I have given instructions that Aaron and his sons eat [these things].
Vayomer Moshe el-Aharon ve’el-banav bashlu et-habasar petach Ohel Mo’ed vesham tochlu oto ve’et-halechem asher besal hamilu’im ka’asher tsiveyti lemor Aharon uvanav yocheluhu.
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל-אַהֲרֹן וְאֶל-בָּנָיו, בַּשְּׁלוּ אֶת-הַבָּשָׂר פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד, וְשָׁם תֹּאכְלוּ אֹתוֹ, וְאֶת-הַלֶּחֶם אֲשֶׁר בְּסַל הַמִּלֻּאִים: כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוֵּיתִי לֵאמֹר, אַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו יֹאכְלֻהוּ.

8:32
Whatever is left over of the flesh and bread, you must burn in fire.
Vehanotar babasar uvalachem ba’esh tisrofu.
וְהַנּוֹתָר בַּבָּשָׂר, וּבַלָּחֶם–בָּאֵשׁ, תִּשְׂרֹפוּ.
